Sewing Project by Fréderique Hutter

 In News

Dear friends of the SANNI Foundation

Learning skills, making something yourself, earning a small income and thus taking the first steps towards an independent future. The sewing project initiated by Frédérique Hutter, a long-standing ambassador of the SANNI Foundation, together with a number of women at our center in Trivandrum, is exactly what we as a foundation strive for: Empowering people sustainably and thus giving them confidence.

Read more about it in our newsletter and where her latest creations are available.

I wish you a wonderful Easter!

Yours sincerely,
Susanne Schroff

Celebrate the official launch of this new charity project with us

on Thursday, April 4, 5.00 – 8.00pm

in the two boutiques at Neumarkt
Schönegrüsse, Neumarkt 20, 8001 Zurich
Mary Jane, Neumarkt 21, 8001 Zurich

Frédérique Hutter, gallery owner and art consultant, has been a regular visitor to our St. John center for several years. In creative processes, she works with the girls and women to develop products that enable them to take control of their own lives. This has already resulted in an art exhibition, a jewelry and clothing collection and now a small collection of bags and pouches for storing accessories and other small treasures or as a small evening bag.

The Pouch Collection

In December, Frédérique Hutter bought seven Singer sewing machines, fabrics and other materials and set up a small sewing studio in Trivandrum. Soon afterwards, she taught the first seamstresses and taught them how to implement the designs she had developed on the machine. The result is a wonderfully playful collection of bags and pouches made from Indian silk.

The Event

Celebrate the launch of this new charity project with us on Thursday, April 4 from 5pm in the two boutiques Schönegrüsse and Mary Jane, both at Neumarkt 20 and 21 in Zurich. The bags and pouches are already available in the Schönegrüsse boutique.

The Revenue

Would you also like to contribute to giving one or more children a better future? For less than 1 CHF or 1 EUR per day (360 CHF or 360 EUR per year) you can sponsor a child in Myanmar and join our mission. A sponsorship provides a child living in poverty with support in the areas of nutrition, education, household and hygiene, as well as special lessons and vocational training when they are older. You can find more information at: https://www.sanni-foundation.ch/projekte/patenschaften/

Don’t want to make a long-term commitment, but want to provide important help in the current emergency? Donations of any amount to our children’s fund, whose resources are used exclusively for the benefit of children in Myanmar, are always welcome.
