Success story of Yoon Wati

Yoon Wati is an eleven-year-old girl who lives with her family in Hlaing Thar Yar, one of the largest slum areas in Yangon, Myanmar. Yoon Wati was born with cerebral palsy and was unable to walk, speak, or take care of herself either.

Her father passed away three months ago, and her mother is taking care of Yoon Wati and her older brother by working as a cleaner or helper in their neighborhood. The mother’s income cannot cope with the expenses of two children, and her job is irregular.

The SANNI Foundation supported the family and the child with a small breakfast food shop as a small business investment so that the mother did not have to leave the house, could take care of the child, and generated income at the same time.
