Success story of Ei Thinzar Khaing

Ei Thinzar Khaing is a sixteen-year-old girl who lives in Shwe Pyi Thar, one of the largest slum areas in Yangon, Myanmar. Since their parents passed away, Ei Thinzar Khine and his younger sister are growing up with their aunts, who also accommodate the two children.

The financial situation of the family is getting worse since the country’s recent political situation and economic turmoil, which forced the child to discontinue her education and raise concerns about the alternative.

The child is a lifelong registered patient at our Lotus clinic, and this condition has pushed her to become a health care worker in the future. The SANNI Foundation supported Ei Thinzar Khaing with vocational training for nurse aid and pharmacy training, and the child has now found something for which she is passionate and a professional career at the same time. We are paying close attention to the child’s vocational training and also looking forward to assisting her with the job hunt after she completes her training.
