Last week the Waso Chinlone Festival took place! ⚽️This festival is Myanmar’s largest traditional sporting event. Chinlone or “Cane Ball” is an ancient sport from over 1,500 years ago and even the Burmese royalty used to play it! It is similar to modern day Hacky Sacky. For the Waso Chinlone Festival hundreds of teams from all over Myanmar get together in Mandalay. It is a fierce competition and all the players strive to show off their best skills. What an exciting festival!✨#sannifoundation #sanni #myanmar #festival #wasochinlone ... See MoreSee Less

Good news from India: The new school year started Good news from India: The new school year started on the first of June 2022!
The children were very much looking forward to going back to school after the long vacations. This year, we are happy to announce that our HIV-infected children can attend regular school classes in our nearby schools after a long wait of 14 years. Previously, our HIV infected children were only enrolled in school and classes were held in our home. Now we are happy that the stigma in the local community has decreased significantly. Parents and teachers accept our children without stigma and fear. ✨
