Dear friends of the SANNI Foundation,<\/p>\n

Visits on site are of great importance to our work. They not only allow us to see the progress of our projects with our own eyes, but also to show people that they matter to us – that we believe in them.<\/p>\n

In November of last year, I travelled to India together with our board members Corinne Fischer and Marianne Walde. In March, my visits took me again to Delhi and Myanmar. Each time, I am deeply moved by what is developing. Despite challenging conditions, our projects continue to grow – and so do the people within them.<\/p>\n

These journeys have once again shown me why our work is so important. Yes, sometimes it may feel like a drop in the ocean. But for each individual, our support represents a real opportunity: for dignity, for independence, for a life of their own.<\/p>\n

And that is what truly matters.<\/p>\n

1. St. John\u2019s Health Village (Kerala)<\/h2><\/div>

Our first project under the leadership of Father Jose remains our flagship initiative.<\/p>\n

Support for this project began over 30 years ago through my family. Today, the Health Village includes three hospitals, an orphanage, a training centre, a supermarket, and several other social facilities. It has grown into a place of hope, providing secure employment to around 300 people. Just last year, we were able to open another hospital slightly outside the main area – completing the overall infrastructure.<\/p>\n

All initiatives share a common goal: to guide people towards independence. Particularly impressive is the social model of the hospitals, where financially better-off patients help cover the treatment costs of those less fortunate.<\/p>\n

Thousands of people have already found their way to a self-determined life here. Behind these numbers are countless personal stories of courage, dignity, and new perspectives. It is a development we can truly be proud of together.<\/p>\n<\/div>

2. Community Development Center \u2013 Prachodana Services (Neb Sarai, Delhi)<\/h2><\/div>

We have been supporting this project since 2022 – and during this time, it has developed in an impressive way. The focus is on a highly underprivileged community, where sustainable change can have a particularly strong impact.<\/p>\n

Today, around 180 children are cared for daily and provided with food. They not only benefit from a safe environment but also gain access to education and daily structure – something that was often missing before.<\/p>\n

A key component of the project is vocational training programmes for women, particularly in the fields of beauty services and tailoring. These programmes open up new perspectives and enable women to earn their own income.<\/p>\n

A major milestone was reached in March this year: the establishment of a small sewing workshop with its own showroom. The focus is on the production of school uniforms – a step that not only promotes financial independence but also strengthens local value creation.<\/p>\n

Especially moving are the personal testimonies of the women: in the past, their children were often left on their own, with little access to education and low motivation. Today, they are cared for, safe, and eager to learn. The children\u2019s development is remarkable – their English skills, confidence, behaviour, and hygiene have improved significantly.<\/p>\n

This project clearly demonstrates how entire communities can be strengthened. Women build independent livelihoods, children receive real opportunities for the future – and the tangible gratitude on the ground makes the impact of this work visible every day.<\/p>\n<\/div>

3. Community Development Projekt \u2013 Gurugram (Delhi)<\/h2><\/div>

In Gurugram, we consistently pursue our holistic approach. Children gain access to education that opens up new perspectives. At the same time, women are specifically empowered so they can sustainably support themselves and their families.<\/p>\n

The project\u2019s development is stable and encouraging. Step by step, structures are emerging that enable real and lasting change. It is a quiet but powerful progress – exactly how sustainable development should be.<\/p>\n<\/div>

4. Medical Action Myanmar (MAM) in Yangon, Myanmar<\/h2><\/div>

Since 2013, this project has been at the heart of our work – and one of the most impactful.<\/p>\n

Our partner, Medical Action Myanmar, led by Dr. Frank and Dr. Ni Ni – both former leaders of M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res – is exceptional. In the humanitarian world, their organisation is held in the highest regard – and from my own experience, I can say: absolutely deserved.<\/p>\n

This is not just about providing help – this is about working with the highest level of professionalism, clarity, and long-term thinking in a very challenging environment.<\/p>\n
