SANNI sponsorship leverages talents («my little genuis»)
In a small township, 12 year old Pyae Sone Aung lives with his single-mother in a small wooden hut. She had to raise her children alone and work at the same time to put food on the table. Pyae Sone Aung was under threat of being forced to leave school to work for food instead.
However, in May 2018 he joined SANNI’s sponsorship program. Now, this threat has gone, and he is excelling in his classes. Last year, he was even awarded a special school prize for achieving the top grade in his class!
And on top of this because of his sponsorship, his mother is able to save a little money each month and she has now saved up enough to pay for extra tuition classes for Pyae Sone Aung. She calls him ‘My Little Genius’ and wants him to have all he needs to learn. We will continue to support Pyae Sone Aung and help him continue to achieve even more in school.
