Every third child in Myanmar suffers from undernourishment or malnutrition. SANNI Foundation treats malnourished children in specialized nutrition centers over a time period of 1-6 months until their health has stabilised. Nutritious and vitamin rich food is also given in packages in a monthly basis to prevent a relapse.
We cannot let children starve to death when we have the tools to prevent it. This simple treatment allows children to grow and reach adulthood not stunted by hunger and malnutrition.
In 2018, 70 malnourished children were in treatment. Almost 900 patients received food rations.
