SANNI Foundation support long term partner Medical Action Myanmar in their projects to improve access to health care for remote communities in Myanmar. With over 1,750 specially trained Community Health Workers and teams of travelling doctors, they provide over 850,000 life-saving consultations a year in services such as malaria, tuberculosis and malnutrition.
The remote communities are often extremely difficult to travel to and can take up to two weeks to reach just one. They travel by any means possible: boat, car, motorbike and sometimes even elephants! It is a remarkable project the SANNI Foundation are proud to support.
