Myanmar has one of the highest infection rates for HIV in Asia. Countless people, including many children, are infected with HIV and suffer untreated. However, SANNI’s Lotus Clinic and other partner sites offer free HIV treatment to the most vulnerable and impoverished.
Our approach is holistic, and we not only just provide treatment but counselling to support the patients’ mental health, and we provide them with food as often the patient cannot work during the first stages of treatment.
People living with HIV can live healthy, normal lives but access to treatment is vital. With this program, we can help create a new generation that can thrive regardless of diagnosis.
In 2018 over 550 patients are under ART Treatment.
