With your help, we can give 1200 children a better future
Dear friends of the SANNI Foundation
2024 was characterized by many highlights. We were able to see the pleasing progress of the project for ourselves on site: our regular visits revealed astonishingly positive changes that demonstrate the impact that the SANNI Foundation has thanks to you, dear donors. What has not changed, however, is the fact that we continue to focus on India and Myanmar and that 100% of your donations go directly to the people affected.
We are particularly pleased that we have not only been able to attract a growing number of supporters, but that the number of actively involved ambassadors has also increased considerably. Thanks to your generosity, we can now give 1’200 children a better future! Your donation has given hope to countless people in acute need. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of the children and families we support. It is a great pleasure for me if we can continue on this path together with you.
Yours sincerely,
Susanne Schroff
St. John’s Medical Village in Kerala, South India
We have been supporting the center run by Father Jose in Trivandrum for almost 30 years. There, the SANNI Foundation currently focuses on empowering women who are trained to become micro-entrepreneurs thanks to support programs. They learn how to cultivate mushrooms, grow organic vegetables, set up a small poultry farm and – in our new sewing workshop – earn their own living by making their own clothes. We are involved in the health sector by training nurses and performing reconstructive surgery for leprosy sufferers. The construction of a new hospital in the coastal region of Kerala is also planned for 2025.
Saket Slum in the South of Delhi
In the slum in Delhi, the SANNI Foundation mainly supports women and children. Our local project partner ensures that the children go to school regularly, receive hot meals every day and thus get to know a life that offers a perspective. In the course of the project, which was launched two years ago, we have witnessed an incredible development: the experience that someone believes in them and supports them unconditionally strengthens the children and young people in their path and gives them a previously unknown self-confidence.
Our support project for women, who can earn their own income by learning how to make soap and detergent as well as sewing, is growing steadily. We also hold regular “clean the slum” days with the children to sensitize them and their families to a clean, hygienic environment. Our goal for 2025 is to further increase the number of children in our care.
Our Activities in Myanmar – Basic Services Despite a Tense Situation
The political situation in Myanmar remains very tense. This makes the work of Medical Action Myanmar (MAM) all the more important. Dr. Nini Tun and Dr. Frank Smithuis continue to work relentlessly and, together with their team, ensure that destitute people receive basic medical care, even in remote areas.
We continue to run the Lotus Clinic built by the SANNI Foundation in Yangon, fund the Motherhouse for children without parents and sponsor more than 550 children to attend school. We also ensure that the children and their families receive food parcels and medical care when needed. In 2025, we will be committed to further expanding the sponsorship program.
«2024 was the best year so far in the 15-year history of the SANNI Foundation! We were able to massively advance our projects in India and Myanmar as well as gain new support for the SANNI Foundation.»
Susanne Schroff, Founder and President of the Board of Trustees SANNI Foundation

Would you also like to contribute to giving one or more children a better future? For less than 1 CHF or 1 EUR per day (360 CHF or 360 EUR per year) you can sponsor a child in Myanmar and join our mission. You can find more information at: https://www.sanni-foundation.ch/projekte/patenschaften/
Don’t want to make a long-term commitment, but want to provide important help in the current emergency?
