SANNI Foundation participates in global movement #GivingTuesdayNow (May 5th 2020) with our campaign “50 CHF to support a vulnerable family in slum areas in Myanmar”
#GivingTuesday on May 5th, 2020 is a global day of generosity and unity, a day to come together and give back in response to the unprecedented hardships caused by COVID-19. SANNI Foundation takes part in this day to draw attention to the rapidly deteriorating living conditions of vulnerable and impoverished families in slum areas in Yangon, Myanmar.
COVID-19 keeps us all in suspense and has changed lives throughout the world, but we should not forget the poorest people in Myanmar. SANNI’s projects focus on an area called Hlaingthayar, an industrial slum zone where the majority of factories have closed. Many people in Hlaingthayar struggled to survive even when employed, and now with mass unemployment, lives of thousands of already impoverished families will significantly worsen.
SANNI will continue helping the most vulnerable and with 50 CHF we can support a family who cannot afford basic necessities like food and hygiene products. No child or family should go hungry or be left vulnerable against a virus when we can help stop it.
Please help these struggling families by donating 50 CHF.
