Ein Reisebericht von Michèle Heeb, im Frühling 2010.
Last week, the UN released a report about the impact of the military junta on Myanmar’s children. It urges the international community to take immediate action if they wish to prevent a humanitarian and economic crisis. If nothing is done, there is a high risk of the children becoming a “lost generation”. Here are some numbers which show how terrible the situation is:- Over 250’000 children have been displaced.- Over 1’400 children have been arbitrarily detained. - 142 children have been tortured. We at SANNI Foundation are helping the affected children, especially through our children’s home. Do you also wish to support the children and our projects in Myanmar?
